I called at noon today and was told they sold out of the 9mm MA compliant models Saturday afternoon and as of that point they had some MA compliant .40's in stock. Sorry folks I did not ask about non MA inventory.
I have been on five local dealers waiting lists for many months to no avail. I really appreciate the heads up on this sight. They are making the MA versions in much less quantities than the normal ones.
Oh yea as of Sunday afternoon Kittery is out of stock. The guy there said that they were flooded with orders from all over the country. He thought that someone posted the inventory on that "tweet thing" and caused a flood of orders! I bet most orders were from the kind folks here!

Yes I would call them.
From what I was told the MA 9mm Shields are not in stock. However they show up on the page, so I do not believe that they have live inventory listings. However I can give you the links to the home page and where the Shield are listed.

You bought a MA compliant version. The MA compliant version has a crappy 10# trigger.
The non MA is 6.5#.

Has anyone ordered a Shield from D&L Hunting lately. Ordered a 40 cal last Saturday....Have not heard a word since, tried emailing them for shipping info and today the phone was busy all day. Just tried to call and it rang but a voice message said I couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full.
I also ordered the 40 from D&L Sat night. I called on Tuesday to see if my order was going to be fullfilled and if they rec'd the FFL from my local dealer. Put me on hold and came back and said he checked with the shipping manager and I was good to go. Haven't heard anymore but I'll give it another day or so. Right now just checking periodically to see if they charged my c.c.

I ordered a shield from D & L a week from Monday. I just received info that it was shipped today and should be at my LGS on Monday. Two weeks wait but definitely worth it to me.
Glad somebody heard from them...I ordered mine on 4/15 have not received any emails...wrote 2 this week and been trying to call and both lines are busy all the time...was just trying to get a estimated ship date but can't get anyone...

As posted on this thread previously (way back last month) I purchased a Shield 9 from D&L via their web site. Had my FFL send paperwork via email the same day. As several of you have experienced they are difficult to reach by phone. But after several tries I managed to get through one afternoon a couple of days later. The guy that answered said they were about a week behind on shipping due to the unprecedented high volume of orders they were filling. He said if I entered my phone number as requested on their on line order form if any problems filling my order they would call me. A couple of days later they called, saying they were processing my order but could not ship because they did not have FFL paperwork. I told them my FFL had emailed it to them same day I placed the order. They asked the name of FFL. Found his email in their spam folder, said all is well and my order would ship next day. A few hours later they processed the charge to my credit card. Two days later my FFL called to tell me it had arrived. Total lapsed time exactly one week from order placed to picked up at FFL.
D&L communication could be better but realistically they are not ebay or other hi-tech retailer. But they delivered what I ordered in a reasonably timely manner. No complaints here.

First post, but if anyone is in the Mooresville, NC (near Charlotte) area the local gun shop (Aisle Pawn) has the M&P shield 9mm (and 9mm compact) in stock right now. Not sure how many they have though.

I was apprehensive to order from D&L but I did this past Monday. Each time I spoke with someone, they were very courteous. I didn't have my FFL info straight but I got that faxed to them yesterday(Thursday). I called around 3pm that same day. They confirmed they had my paperwork and they said they would try to ship that day but if not, it would be Monday. They did not charge my card until today. Side note, I had tried calling several times on Thursday and got a busy signal but I got through eventually. I ordered the .40. They also said they'd email me a tracking number when it shipped.

Called D&L on Monday April 15 at 12:01 when they opened order SW Shield 40 took all my information over the phone said it would ship in a couple of days. Called Tuesday to check FFL, they said they had it would ship in a couple days. Tried to call today, put me on hold, then hung up on me. Tried to call back busy answer, emailed no answer. My card was not charged and I have no idea what's going on. Almost seems like they threw my order in the trash or re-sold my gun. Either way I just want to know what is going on, if I need to look somewhere else for the gun. Frustrating!
