Smith and Wesson shield in stock

Well, good news is that I haven't had another store call me about a different model. :D

For those who do not know the process for those electronic stores in NY/Philly...
a) Go into one store.
b) Get hounded by a sales person like you were covered in meat and he is a hungry wolf.
c) Go through the bargaining process on price.
d) Agree on price upon knowing that they have one "in stock".
e) Wait what seems like eternity as the sales guy whips out his cell phone and speaks Portuguese or Russian to his compadre on the other line. Probably a guy at the store down the road.
f) When you're about to say "forget it" after a 30 minute wait, some guy bolts in the front door with said product like he just hoisted it off a truck.
g) Come to find out that it is an open-box, missing something, or knock-off?

BTW, I still got my authentic (as far as I know) Sony mini stereo system from college. :p

As for D&L, I have faith that they will come through.

lol..that sounds like dealing with the Hajis at the bazaar in Bagram heh

Ordered a 9mm from D&L this morning and they told me they still had plenty of both

Update:
My wait is over. My Shield that was ordered from D&L on March 8th arrived at my lgs today late in the afternoon. If you have not received yours yet and you ordered before I did then maybe you better give them a call and check that they received all the information that was needed from your FFL : Name, make and model of gun purchased, and a copy of their FFL. I was told when I checked on mine that they could not ship without all the information.

Ordered mine from D&L last Thur March 7th FFL sent info on Fri called D&L Mon shipped that day picked up my new Shield after work today!

Ordered mine from D&L on March 7. Called them on March 13 to get tracking info on shipping. They said I was one of the lucky ones that got shipped out last week as they were now running about a week behind. My LGS received it today!

Ordered mine from D&L on March 9th said they had plenty in stock but they would be about five days behind in shipping. Called back on Wednesday to see if they receive my FFL's paper work and they said everything looked fine. Will let you know if I get it next week (hopefully) sometime. Oh I also emailed them yesterday just to get an ETA. No response yet.

Jokiesmurf -- THANK YOU so much! I just bought a 9mm from them. $449 + $25 shipping. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you so much for the heads-up!!

At Shoot Straight in Lakeland Fl. Has them in stock. They have .40 7 round mags as well.

Another thanks on this from me! Got a .40 for $449 + $35 shipping (not sure why I paid $10 more than alc.... hmmm)

Regardless, thats a 40 Shield for $505 out the door. Not bad, when the alternative is hunting locally for several weeks and ending up paying $450 + $40 tax = $490. I'm happy with it.

Thanks!

What is the deal with the Shield? It is like they have STOPPED making them.

Aerosfire -- it might be because I'm in Georgia? When I asked how much shipping was, they said they'd have to input my info to calculate it before they could tell me. So maybe it is based on distance, but I don't know? Congrats on the Shield, though!! Looks like we both lucked out thanks to Jokiesmurf!

They have shown up in mass quantities a number of places in the last two weeks. Just pay close attention.

Bought one on GunBroker.com.....Shield 9MM...paid $540 "buy it now" but after shipping and credit card fee it was a total $585. But the gun is awesome!

Just left Shooters (Jacksonville, Fl). They have three (3) Shield 9mm and one Shield .40 in the display case and available. Price tag was tucked under them. Could not them see the prices.

I wish I could find a CA version.

....and I don't want to do a SSE version.

Finally purchased my .40 Shield

I have been on a couple waiting lists here in Nor Cal for over 6 months. Then on Friday, at work, I hear my coworker telling someone he just bought a Shield. I immediately perked up. You did? When? .40? Where? How much? Do they have more?

It turns out the store had had three in stock. When I called they had one left. So, I asked them to hold it, and went there on Saturday. I got the last one they had in stock. Oh, these were not CA compliant, so LEO only, which probably explains why they had a few in stock. The three they got were sold within the week.

So, now the 10 day waiting game. I did not have time to get the waiver letter from my Department, so now I just have to wait like everyone else.

So, out the door for $513 after a 5% LEO discount..... Yay for me!

Btw....guns/ammo sales are nuts! This shop was sold out of everything. Thanks, Mr. Obama.....

Just picked up a 9mm by pure luck and happenstance, been looking locally for 2 months on and off. Bought a 870 shotty off gunbroker that was sent to my FFL. While picking up the 870 I asked about the Shield 9mm, yup he just got it in, "Really?, I'll take that as well! It was a good day for sure. $429.00 + tax, SE WA.

My buddy went there the next day and asked if they had the Shield, Nope, all gone.

If anyone in South Central PA is interested in a 40 shield I was at my local gun shop this afternoon and they had just gotten 5 Shield 40's in just before closing. $409 cash price + tax.

They are located in Everett, Bedford County PA.
