I live in Connecticut and Smith is about a half hour drive so when I had a problem with my 41. I drove to Smith and was able to talk to the tech who would work on my gun, we compared notes and in about three weeks the gun was ready and was as good as new. That is why most of my guns are Smiths. ( I had to pay for the parts but not the labor. Because it is a competition gun.)
