Smith & Wesson 27-2 Correct Grip question

Not too long after your 27-2 was shipped, S&W upgraded the Model 27 by adding a target hammer, target trigger, checkered target stocks made of Goncalo alves, and a mahogany presentation case. For shooting and appearance, I would leave the rosewood target stocks on the 27-2 (they are period correct for the revolver).

Bill

Unfortunately for me, i collect Smith's and most likely will never shoot it. Just wanna make it so it's as original as possible and hoping those current stocks come around for me.

I've got a set of correct magnas for your piece, wanna trade? :)

Speaking of correct grips, does anyone have a picture of what exactly the correct grips should look like for that era gun? Doing some searching and not 100%.
Thank you everyone!

My 27-2 has a presentation case and the hammer and trigger are 1/2". 5 7/8" barrel. I find I prefer a 3" or 4" barrel.

Ya know, i have several frame types and calibers. I've always found the 6.5" to be the most economical. I have a soft spot for the 27. It's so sexy. Figured I'd splurge and go smaller and supposedly more rare. Im addicted to vintage smith's and probably won't shoot them. I collect more than anything. That being said, the 27 is kind of a holy grail gun. Especially in 3.5".
