I am trying to determine when the Smith & Wesson 38 Special Ctg. that I recently purchased was made. Model 64-3. Barrel length 4 inches. Serial number "AWZ6106" appears on the metal portion of the gun butt. "38 S. & W. SPECIAL CTG." appears on the right side of the barrel. On the right side of the frame below the cylinder in front of the trigger is:
"MADE IN THE U.S.A.
MARCAS REGISTRADAS
SMITH & WESSON
SPRINGFIELD, MASS".
"SMITH & WESSON" is on the left side of the barrel. The Smith & Wesson trademark is on the left side of the frame. When the cylinder is open, "G22" and "77633" are visible. Any help is greatly appreciated.
