Smith & Wesson 629, 5 inch barrel

What was the first year the Smith & Wesson 629 came out with a 5 inch barrel and what dash did it start and do they make a Smith & Wesson Model 29 with a 5 inch barrel if so what dash and years?THANKS

The 5 inch barrel 629 Classic came out with the other Classics, in 1990 with the dash 3 models. It's still in production.
The 5" 29 Classic began in 1991 with the dash 5 revision and was only made until 1994.
I'm lucky enough to own a dash 3.

The 5" model 29 Classic did stay in production long enough to make it to the 29-6 revision though. This is my 5" 29-6 Classic, wearing a set of Culina round to square target conversion stocks.

My S&W 629 with 5" barrel is a dash -4, love the 5" feel.
