I recently bought a used Smith revolver from LGS and got a squib load in it. While trying to remove the squib, the yoke and cylinder came out of the gun, revealing that the yoke was damaged.
Smith & Wesson provided me a prepaid shipping label. I sent the gun to them, fully prepared to pay for a yoke replacement as I was not the original owner, nor was the issue really the company's fault. I got the gun back in 13 days, free of charge. The yoke was replaced, and they also polished a small area that was cosmetically marred at my request, in addition to inspecting the gun for safety, also at my request.
This is my first experience with S&W customer service and I am quite pleased.
