Hello everyone. I am now here. Please, interested in buying a model 19. "The Model 19-4 is introduced, changing the gas ring from the yoke to the front of the cylinder." - Is it a problem if it's better or worse.

For all practical purposes, you will not notice the difference. Good model 19s are getting difficult to find at a reasonable price in my area. I hope that you will be able to locate one.

So you are!

To answer your question, IMO the -4 ECO was ideal for the Model 19. I would not hesitate to buy a 19-4 and would prefer it to the other ECOs if you actually plan to shoot the revolver much - particularly with lead bullets.

19-4 and 5

Found these last month, getting very hard to find.

To me the more important point is that the -4 was the last of the 19's to be pinned and recessed.

I wasn't sure about that or not but I was thinking that thought so you confirmed it - yes, if another 19-4 pops up in my LGS it's mine. Heck, they'll even call me to tell me!

Find it, buy it, be happy!

19-4

They just don't build them like this anymore.

Find one and buy it, mine purchased new in the early eighties.

Never saw striped Magna grips like this (both sides) had to have!

Fine and naturally easy piece to shoot. Note the price tag.

Leonard
