Hello,

A friend recently inherited a collection of his father's. I have been researching some of the guns for him. One is a three screw Model 27-1 .357 Magnum with a 5 inch barrel. Please tell me all you can about it. Everything I have read says this is a rare model and quite valuable. The condition is 98%+

A friend's data base has between 60 and 70 27-1s with approximately 10 of them 5". Most were shipped in 1962. This just says there is not many. It is a very nice revolver! It would be worth what someone is willing to pay. I would get a letter on it for sure.

Nice looking Model 27-1. I believe you will find the fourth screw in front of the trigger guard. Value is in the $2,500 range I believe, but a better estimate can be provided by a collector of this model.
