.460V & XVR Magnum Man

I sent my .460 XVR in to S&W factory for repair on Aug.21. They got it Tue. 25th. I called them on the 31st to see how long and the man said about a week as it was in the warranty lineup. I got a call from home yesterday the 3rd that Fedex had dropped off a heavy box. I thought it was some ammo that I had on order and didn't think too much about it.When I got home I noticed the return label was S&W Customer Service??? Sure enough it was my .460 and let me tell you the problem was a flaw and chip where the sideplate seam meets the frame at the hammer, that I didn't spot till I got it home from my FFL. The entire experience was great from beginning till I got the gun back yesterday. And the repair is PERFECT!! The gun was brand new and never fired, I was cleaning it after I got it home , that is when I spotted the flaw. I called them they sent the return label, and things were rolling. Anyway the gun was cleaner than when it left, the repair is absolutely perfect, and the service was excellent!!! I have never dealt with a company who took care of a problem in the manner that they have. They don't say much as the return repair slip just said "The following Characteristic (s) have been examined and adjusted to our standards- repair frame. And that was it, I tell you Smith & Wesson will have my business from now on. I am so pleased with them I just bought a 9mm M&P Compact to celebrate. The gun was even cleaner than my other .460V and my 29-10 .44mag, I just wanted to share a great service job from Smith & Wesson!!!!
