Here it is; my smokin' new 642 Pro Series. Cut for moon clips and still has that factory fresh smell. Fits perfectly in my WRB pocket holster.

I haven't shot this one yet, but have shot other 642s so I'm looking forward to it!

Congrats!

Nice that it doesn't have the S&W logo offset on the side plate like I've seen on some other recent 642's. I find the way yours is centered to be much more attractive...and a little more traditional.

Yep. I actually bought it back in early December before all the 'wierdness' started. It had a gap between the yoke and frame (posted on another thread) and went back for warranty service. They replaced the frame.

Due to the 'excitement' about guns and ammo that ensued right after I bought it in December, and S&W's Christmas holiday, it took awhile to get it back.

I have to say that I totally understand how backed up S&W is right now.

I remember that, glad they took caare of ya. I showed my wife the pics and she had me check our guns.
That little beauty needs to get out to the local range and stretch its legs.

You will like it. I have the 442 Pro Moon Clip.

TK has additional OEM Moon Clips for it. I understand that S&W gets the j Frame clips from TK that come with the gun.
Welcome to TK Custom.com & Moonclips.com

For a moon clip carrier California Competition Works make the Shoot A Moon in a 5 Shot J Frame Model now. It is the hot set up.

Select SAM for 5 Shot Revolver

I carry either 1 or 2 depending on where i am going. They are app $14 each and will last forever. Nothing to wear out.

What's the link for this thread. I want to see if my 442 might have the same gap.

Thanks

That logo offset is only for the latest production models to accomodate the laser grips, and any aftermarket grip that does not have the speedloader cutouts. My biggest gripe with certain grip manufacturers was that their grip panels would partially cover the logo, making it look, well...just cheesy.
