As a coonhunter that runs dogs year around I use several different kinds of boots during the year. I think that for the price you would be real happy with the snake boots that Danner makes. Next in line would be the Lacrosse snake boot. The problem I have found with these specialty type boots is that while big box outdoor stores like Gander Mountain or Bass Pro carry them, they never carry them in wide sizes. I take a wide and if you do as well then you will have to order them direct.
If you want a pull on type uninsulated boot that last forever, is very tough and durable and comfortable as well you might want to check out Bekina boots. They are made in Belgium and are polyurethane...they are not touted as snake boots per se, but I can tell you that no snake could ever bite thru them.
If I am hunting where there are cypress trees I wear the 18" Matterhorn mining boots with the met-guard. I have more boots than I have dogs!!!
