Out for the next round of removal

Removal of snnnn. Jeeze, still can't say it.
We ONLY got about 5 inches here, but it's blowin' like crazy, so
there are big drifts (again) in front of the garage and back doors.
Sigh...
I have two pair of thermal bottoms on under my jeans.
Wool boot socks.
A long sleeved tee.
A sweatshirt.
Over that will go my 0 degree parka.
Trouble is, the windchill is already BELOW 0 !
I really really really am tired of this. But I must carry on.

To all going out to do battle against the elements,
PLEASE !!! Bundle in layers. Protect your face. I'd hate to hear
of any forum members ending up with frostbite.

We've been dumped on all the others this year. This is the first pass we have gotten and boy is it a welcome one.

Same here. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a couple of inches on the ground. Seems like the wind is dying down, too. I guess the storm split into 2 lows and went out to sea.

I did take a picture of the boots and hat before I went out today, didn't do a selfie, hate getting the "How Handsome You Are" messages.

Made in my town of the Great White North in the western Upper Pennisula of Michigan, where the snowfall so far this year is 150" and counting. In a way, we get tired of hearing about the Northeast snow, but am happy that we are always prepared for these events and can make a sport out of plowing and snowblowing up here.

No Stormy Kromer's for the deer, but they make up for it with lots of fur.

Eight to twelve inches of snow expected here in the next 24 hours, followed by a week of very cold weather.

Louisville is not a southern city, no matter what the natives try to tell you at Derby time. It's lower Midwest.

We haven't had a heavy snow for three or four years, so it appears we were due.

Yeah only a couple of inches here, but this wind is brutal. By the time I got done cleaning up this afternoon, I had wind burn on my face, glad I didn't wait until now.

Wind will be 25-35mph with gusts to 45mph tonight, pushing wind chills to -30ºF or lower. Dangerous levels, frostbite happens within minutes. I hope the fire depts stay safe, I always hate these kinds of nights, because chimney fires are common. Stay safe out there!

About 18-20 inches today but it was very light

Wind is howling outside at the moment, 8 degrees F suppose to go down to 4

Will go out about 9 PM just to start the car for awhile.

This has been one tough winter and I hope Mother Nature is done with us.

You have my complete and total sympathy, I remember having to deal with the record setting snow we had in the Detroit area last year and that was spread out over several months. What the Boston area is going through is more than I would ever want to deal with.

BTW, Roof Rakes are an invention of the Devil but are a necessary evil. Last year I had to rake the house and garage down 3 times to keep the weight and ice dams down to where they wouldn't cause any permanent damage. One tip is to work in sections and when you start to get tuckered out take a 2 or 3 hour break. Do NOT try and do it all at once because you'll just exhaust yourself to the point where you'll lose days recovering.

We don't have the snow yet... but it's supposed to be between 7 and 9 degrees of global warming here on Wed. That's pretty chilly for around here.
