My N. Colorado Scheel"s is across the street from my range. I go to my range once a week and every couple of months I visit the Scheel's gun department. Last November I used my rewards cards for a Colt Classic 1911 .38super. After waiting three days I was deemed safe by my state and impulsively added a Pre 27 to my 4473, no waiting, and left with the Colt and what turned out to be a Non Registered Magnum. In February I took my CCW class there and picked up a used 360PD that was under priced and is my favorite carry piece. On Friday I couldn't restrain my impulses yet again. All four of these pieces, which span 10 months time, benefitted from gift card rewards and coupons. Why do theses pieces keep showing up at this location? They must have a margin formula on used guns that I can't figure out, but I won't complain about. The latest was very under priced by my standards:

I admire your restraint. I used to shoot at a gunshop and had another hole in the wall, that was on my way home. Both required a stop one or more times a week (afraid I might miss something). It got so bad, the hole in the wall dealer would hide new items. He had admonished me, more then once, that I couldn't buy every Smith or Colt that came thru the door, that he had other customers too.
When my wife needed a BD, Annversary or Christmas gift she just called him, to see what I was drooling over in his cataloges. Sadly the shooting range closed, my friend the hole in the wall dealer passed away as did my other friend who acted as my conscience, when we traveled to gun shows and stores on the way.
After 50 years, I have learned restraint. I have a young dealer friend, who has been helpig me dispose of my lack of restraint items. About 2/3 rds of them are gone and now its getting harder to part with whats left but my goal is 75%.. Can't leave the kids the headache of getting rid of my stuff and certainly not my wife. She would hold a garage sale and I would be spinning in the grave.

Nice choice on the CZ. I own a few, but am always on the lookout for another at a good price.

I had a dealer that ran around Oregon to all his favorite honey holes.

He always had a special batch he wanted me to see.

Bought many from him.😉
