Read an article on the Black Swan Murder and saw this "During testimony at Ashley Benefield's murder trial in July 2024, she said that the evening she met Doug Benefield at an upscale political dinner, she was carrying a .45 caliber gun in her bra."

Huh, I know women often keep something in their bras but, first of all that is a location that often attracts extra scrutiny. Next a 45! Are you kidding me. I have a couple 325s and while light they are bulky, I also have a Alloy Commander length, and it is a fair sized gun. I don't think any of the 45 caliber semis are what I would call very small. I saw a used Bond 45 derringer in a pawn shop for a decent price, and having a over and under 45 colt, 410 project in mind I checked it out. One heavy piece of metal.

She isn't a big woman, in fact she was a ballerina. Now I don't wear a bra, but, I just can not imagine anyone doing this with any 45.

What am I missing?

I will have to start looking with extra care to see if I cans spot any printing I guess.

Hopefully she does not jog when wearing that outfit.

I remember a long time ago either Skeeter or Massad told of a woman that carried a 4'' .357 revolver there. He wondered about that also!.

I have to wonder if it was a typo or transcription error, .45 caliber rather than .25 caliber.

Those old 950 Berettas were the same size in .22 short or .25 ACP and smaller than the current Bobcat and Tomcat models.

Maybe a Derringer style pistol chambered in .45. Certainly would not have been a revolver or semi-auto pistol.

Multiple sources say it was a .45 handgun. Probably a Bonds Arms derringer. 2 1/2” barrels, 18 ounces. Not difficult to conceal.

:D :D

At the recent NRA Convention in Dallas an exhibitor was selling a bra holster thing but it was definitely insufficient for a .45 of any kind.

There are any number of them on the market. Since this is a family show I'll refrain from posting websites that contain any risque photos but you can look them up yourself.

Flash Bang bra

Sorry in advance for the long comment:
About 10 years ago when I was working the gun counter at Gander Mountain, a very attractive - and well-endowed - young lady was discussing concealed carry with me. She was wearing a very form-fitting shirt. and informed me that it was too tight to use with her Flashbang bra. I asked how she liked that holster, and she proceeded to explain the process of pulling the gun, telling me she grabbed the hem of her shirt and yanked it up to expose the bra so she could access her gun. All the while, she vigorously mimed the action, jerking her arm up and swinging her strong hand up in a grabbing motion, and of course all that activity was accompanied by a good deal of bouncing and jiggling and such.
And through it all, I maintained absolute eye contact with her.
When she was through, she just stared at me for a moment, and then she smirked and started to chuckle at my obvious struggle to remain professional.
Finally, still looking her in the eye, I said, "That was very, very difficult." To which she replied, "Well, you did very, very good."

I've been known to carry a 500 S&W in my Thunderware holster, but printing doesn't concern me :)
