I've had days where my biggest decision is what gun I am going to carry. I have a safe filled with revolvers and autos of just about every kind made. For the ones I really like, there is usually another one either just like it or very similar. Chances are if its not in the safe, I've owned it at one point in time. Every now and then I think about getting it all pared down to either a single action type, a single brand or single caliber. I can't do it.
What's wrong with me? It seems extreme. I read and admire posts where someone has found his exemplar - knows exactly what he wants and focuses on that one gun. No distractions. No clutter. Purposeful.
Is this nuts? Am I compulsive? Maybe just lack discipline to pick a line and stick to it? Anyone else have the same thoughts?
