For several years I had shot a pair of custom 7 1/2" Ruger Bisley Vaqueros that I built up in SASS CAS as well as a Marlin 1894 Octagon. They were all chambered for .44 Magnum but I shot light .44 Special loads in them.
When I stopped shooting SASS I had a lot of .44 Special cases and a lot of .44 caliber cast bullets so I wanted something to shoot them in.
After a lot of searching in October, 2018 I found a 21-4 Thunder Ranch NIB with the display case and shipping container in a local gun auction.
I ended up paying $557.50 for it.
I shot it some with the original grips when I first got it but when I came across a set of smooth Miculek grips I changed to them as that's what I have on every S&W revolver that I shoot.
I can't complain about the accuracy potential of mine as it's much better than I can shoot it.
I normally do action jobs on any revolvers I shoot but I haven't touched the 21-4, yet!
It's been awhile since it's been out of the safe so I need to schedule a range day for it.
Thanks to the OP for the post, it reminded me of how much I like my 21-4.
Cheers
James
