Soak in Rem Oil.

A heated ultrasonic cleaner filled with the dry film forming lubricant will release the thread locker whether you intended to or not.

You didn't mention if the gun works normally? I see the sideplate as an access point for the internals 'if' something is wrong, not removed for routine inspection when there is no problem. Kind of like pulling the cylinder heads off a 98% (barely used) car just to see the barely worn piston rings. In any case, good luck in your efforts.

Everyone has a different skill level but I really wouldn't compare 3 screws to removing the exhaust manifold, intake, then the head. Actually to check the rings you would also need to pull the oil pan and rod bolts to drive the piston out the top.

I have done both MANY times. I prefer the 3 screws.

It would drive me "nuts" knowing that my dream gun find was "ailing" and I didn't make it whole again.
