So what is this new bug going around?

My girlfriend was ill for about a month before Thanksgiving. I had it for about 10 days. Cough, sore throat, gunned up sinus.
She got sick a few days after babysitting a 3 small children for a few days. She said the 4 year old girl was right up in her face with runny nose and coughing.
That's kids.
I had a biochemistry professor at Fordham who always said; "If you want to have a strong immune system, RIDE THE SUBWAY EVERY DAY!"

Ah yes, the "Treaty breaking, unregulated, biological agent delivery system" will get you now and again.

The "I had 24 hour flu" crowd always make me laugh, because they haven't had anything like the flu. When you get the flu, you are down for 3-4 days minimum.

Or the people that say "I feel like I'm coming down with the flu."

I've been lucky to only had the real flu 2 times. I was in my late 20's or early 30's.

First time was when I drove my ex to an appointment, and waited in the car reading a book. I felt fine when she left, 45 minutes later I felt like someone had beat me with a baseball bat.

I was down hard for at least 5 or 6 days, and it took weeks to get back to 100%.

Ask Dr. Malone.
He may give you insight on the immune system post 'jab'.
Thanks

RSV is an endemic virus. It's around us all the time though it tends to flare up in the winter months. Adults with healthy immune systems have strong resistance to RSV. You have probably had it a dozen times and not even known it. You typically see bad symptoms in babies because their immune systems are "naive" to the virus.
There is speculation that "something" some of us have been putting into our bodies over the last two years is leaving our immune systems exhausted and vulnerable to repeated reinfection from certain viruses. This connection between the certain "something" and immune dysfunction is a strictly forbidden topic in the public forum.

Amazing how we can’t talk about the giant elephant in the room, especially when so many people’s health have been gravely impacted by this experimental “something.” Also amazing how people can’t see the obvious connection, but I suppose that’s made difficult by the efforts made to suppress information that runs counter to the money-motivated narrative.

The information and data is out there if people want to actually do some work to find it, and it’s very concerning. People need to be their own advocate, and not rely on entities that don’t truly have your best interests in mind.

Keep in mind that most of us have been quarantining ourselves to some degree for the past 18 months or more. While it does lessen the likely hood of getting sick, it also reduces our immune systems exposure to all strains of viruses and lessens its ability to fight off viruses. It's looking like the common cold is gonna be a real nasty one this winter.

Or, marry an Elementary school teacher. My wife told me that her 1st graders would rather wipe their hands off on her clothes, and not their own. Smart kids. Their hands tend to be very bio active!

My wife teaches pre-K special needs kids. Some days it's not pretty.

...Tested positive for Flu and was told if didn't have Flu shot few days before wouldn't have been standing...
Not to be a contrarian but what basis do they have for that statement? It takes two weeks for the flu vaccine to become effective. Even then, the average flu vaccine efficacy is only about 50-60%. And obviously you would test positive for the flu since you had just been injected with flu virus. Interesting side note, the guy who invented those tests (PCR), said that the process could not be used to diagnose infection.

It takes two weeks for "maximum" effectiveness.

Sure. So what does two days get you? 0%? 98%? Your doctor can't tell you. What if your flu like symptoms were actually caused by exposure to flu virus in the vaccine?

Would be a "Trifle difficult" since the Flu vaccine uses a crippled version of the virus to raise antibodies. Dave_n
It raises antibodies by eliciting an immune response. Runny nose, coughing, fever, inflammation, etc are all immune responses as well. Did you think you would get the anti bodies without the rest of the immune reaction?
