Jack Flash....that is a very true recount of what happens all the time. Same situation I have been in. If admin wants to falsify records, knock your self out. I have the originals and details

Not always the fault of the kid. I have seen and been involved with some of the teachers. Being able to read and write sentences and paragraphs didn't help them in their abilities to understand and instruct the youth they were in charge of let alone actually teach them anything that is for sure.

As a parent who went through the college process six times, I can tell you any real (ie, not the University of American Samoa) college has already figured out that high school grades are relatively meaningless...

I got quite a few 50% in High School. What's the big deal? I was punished when my parents saw my scores. They thought I should at least get above 60% which would have got me a D-

Grade inflation has been going on for decades. Ask any college
or university prof. Now some states are linking funding to the
graduation rate, if they do not graduate a high percentage the
funds are cut. Today some college students also think if they
show up most of the time they should get at least a C grade.

Due to some unusual circumstances my 15 YO granddaughter is taking junior high classes on the internet only (she is a ballerina in training and practices ballet full-time - honest). I am not sure she has ever read a book in her life although I do know she can read an iPad screen. She's off to Russia in October to study ballet in St. Petersburg. I hope while she's there that she learns to speak and read a little Russian.
