This offering is a Smith & Wesson survivor. This revolver is a nice, early production, S&W .38 Military & Police Airweight. Also known as the "Pre-Model 12", this revolver is built on an aluminum alloy K-frame with five screws. The earliest of these were fitted with alloy cylinders but this practice was discontinued after only two years as the alloy cylinders were somewhat prone to cracking. This is an early gun with the alloy cylinder but as the book says "Early production with alloy cylinder worth premium, but should not be fired". It has a 2-inch barrel with serrated ramp front sight and square notch fixed rear. All serial numbered parts are matching. The original blue and anodized finish rates 97% overall. The original round butt diamond checkered Magna grips are excellent and numbered to the gun. Comes with the original gold box also numbered, lightly in pencil, to the gun.
The price is $795 with payment by bank check, money order or PayPal. Buyer will pay exact shipping. Thanks.
