Was able to score some at my local Sportsman's Warehouse (soon to be part of BPS/Cabelas family). Fortunate to have a neighbor that works there and gives me a heads up on their seemingly weekly truck. Prices seem to be inflated 15-20% or maybe just our new "normal" without the sales.

The 800 pack of Federal 22 was $0.06/round, the 9 mm was $14.99/box, the 357 was about $30/box. They also had a bunch of 223/556 (I already have a SHTF supply for my lifetime), 45 ACP, and others that I wasn't interested in. No 38 Special in this load which is what I was really looking for. You could purchase 2 boxes (any size) per caliber.

My Sportsman's Warehouse has also been getting decent shipments of ammo on a weekly basis for the last 3-4 weeks. Their rule is 2 boxes per item...so if they get Federal, Winchester and Remington 9mm..you can buy 2 of each.

The pallet usually comes on Monday's, this week they had .300 BO, .223/5.56, 9mm, .45acp and even a small amount of .380 which I haven't seen in months. No .22, .38 or .357 this week.

Now it all usually sells within a day, maybe two but it is nice to see regular deliveries again. Even though they are small deliveries and have increased in price.

I'd be happy to see ammo show up anywhere around me :-(
Went to Walmart yesterday for groceries, as usual I walked past the ammo area. Low and behold, 2 boxes Winchester 308 on the lonely shelf. Guy behind the counter said they don't get ammo very often now; and when they do it's just a few boxes of anything. Still their regular prices (pre-Covid) so $17.84/box 20. I'm not out looking for ammo these days, but when I find something I can use, I buy but only at decent prices-I won't pay these crazy prices!

I got 100 each .45ACP and 5.56mm at a local store yesterday. Missed the 9mm by about 2 hours per the staff. But they haven't had anything but .17HMR, oddball rifle calibers, and birdshot for quite some time.

Just went by my local SW and saw a truck backed into the loading dock. I went in and reserved my ration of small rifle/pistol primers and 300 BO brass, if any come in.

The pistol ammo shelves were empty. Any fresh ammo and primers are gone almost immediately.

No light at the end of the tunnel... You just got a heads up on when their truck showed up. Ammo has been hitting shelves somewhere every day of week for the last 6 months it's just a matter of getting the timing right.

My SW gets trucks on Saturday evening, Sunday or Monday morning. If you call every 6 hours or so during those times you're bound find out what they got on the truck.

Totally agree....no light at the end of the tunnel. All that work, having to have someone on the inside tip you off only to be limited to two boxes....how is that light at the end of the tunnel.....more like foretelling of the future.....no, no ammo for you.

Just bought a small amount of .32 S&W long wadcutters at 6cents a round. It was probably around 4cents a couple of years ago, but not easy to find today so I grabbed a little. Just keeping a couple of boxes for what may go down, not for target shooting. Sold most of my collection and ammo awhile ago, down to a few 32 and 22 Smiths, not the best for self defense but they can work with proper shot placement.

I've been able to pick up a few boxes a week at SW of 9mm and .45 to keep shooting without going into my "stash".
And the local Walmart gets CCI .22 ammo in every week, and pre panic prices.

And I see that online retailers are starting to show some items in stock again, but their prices are a bit higher.

$.06 per round? Did you mean 60 cents per round? Back in April you could get a box of 50 for a little under $20 or 40 cents per round.

Yes, I have a buddy tip me off regarding ammo shipments. But that same buddy wasn't tipping me off till just a few weeks ago when they started getting those regular shipments. Yes, it may take a little work but I like to shoot and don't want to raid my stash to do it. [emoji41]
