Some of my favorite things. What are yours?

Gotta say my old Harley. Last June, I straddled my 60th birthday by rolling from Indiana, to Hill City, South Dakota. Here's a snap a friend took of me rolling west on Nebraska 2.

I got to ride the entire length of the Natchez Trace last September. Whoo hoo! Two tours on a 2000 Harley (non-touring-bike) Superglide.

Things?

Moxie soda, available only in New England, shipped and wrapped for a Christmas treat. Along those same Christmastime lines, Claxton Fruitcake.

.

Much to my surprise I saw a few bottles of Moxie in a store here in El Paso, TX. Haven't had any to drink since I was a teenager in Connecticut and my father brought some home for me to try.

Standing around the fire at a deer camp in the evening drinking coffee with a little Brandy in it while telling tales of former hunts. The older guys spinning tales of yesterday & the younger ones hanging on every word. My kids, grandkids & one great grand son. Loves won & lost over 3/4's century of living. The first buck & the first trout taken along with the first encounter with a skunk. Your first hunting dog & your last. The arguments over which is best, revolver or auto loader. Same with calibers.Same with girl friends.Oh Boy, I could go on for a while but better shut up. Later. Dick

The call of a loon after dark
The smell of the air on the first warm spring day
A fish taking a surface lure on a glassy lake
Music
A campfire on a cold morning
Coffee around that campfire
Pocketknives
The push of a .45
The morning calm
