I had a white 67 La LeSabre, great car. My Dad was always a Buick man also.

yes, but there's much more to him than wetting the back neck with wobble pop in the power barn:D

His is a well versed and experienced procedure to revive most abandoned mechanical contrivances.
assume the fuel is shellac, laying in wait to trash the carb.
the oil in it is usually good enough for a fire up. make it earn it's oil change.
Brakes ..... it doesn't have any.
Most revivals have been matters of basic principals of vehicle maintenance.
The drive home is a function of your willingness to endure it's ailments beyond that which the previous owner would.
Remaining life is relative to the operator.
When the mindset of the prior owner shares more similarity to his, the harrowing nature of the ride home becomes more pronounced :D

Was a Ford guy but i'll give credit where due.
Had a 2000 Century with mileage like the national debt.
That made me a fan of Buick. When it's oil threw a sparkle party, I replaced it with a 2011 Regal, which made me a fan of Subaru. :D
This weekend consists of changing Buick cam phase solenoids and rear brakes. I don't even bother to scan codes anymore.
