I still get at least half-dozen calls a day, usually more, from all
those scammers. But there is a new twist the past few days.
The area codes shown on some of them are only 2 digits instead
of 3. Anyone know what that's about? Of course I don't answer
their calls.

One last week from Slovenia. Are we that easy to scam over here?!? When the folks in Slovenia start aimin' for us I count that as a bad sign. I hope we are not getting the international reputation for being suckers.

We been getting a lot of sales/scam calls and some of the message is garbled . But if they as you if you can hear them that that's when you hang up. do NOT say yes. Best not to say anything at all just hang up. Once I did say, "You'll have to speak up, I can't hear a word you're saying..." THEN I hung up.

I don't answer 1 out of 10 calls on my landline and at the present moment I have no idea where my cell phone is. I last saw it Sunday, confident it's not lost just misplaced. Only time I care about it is on a road trip.

Robo calls are normally blocked by Nomorobo but once in a while a call gets through. I will not answer unless I positively recognize the #. The answering machine picks up so if it should be important leave a message.

I've never understood those that are a slave to a phone. My dogs don't have a clue how to use them and that is who I converse with when I need good counsel. :)

Last year about the time the Politicians were burning up the phone lines I had my land line taken out. So far I have received only 2 or 3 unwanted calls on my cell phone. I know it is probably inevitable I will begin to get calls on my cell, but I already know how to swipe the disconnect direction.

Don't know about android, but I can block them on my iphone. I only get maybe half dozen a month now. Just keep blocking them.

When I get a call on my cell and I don't know the number , I push to send them the " can I call you back button " . My phone texts them and 99% of the time it comes back as undeliverable .

Lately I've been getting a lot of unknown calls. Every once in a while I'll answer. About 99% of the time I'm told that my ducts need cleaning. I tell them no thank you as I'm already using the services of one Archibald Tuttle :D and to stick their hose where the sun doesn't shine.

I have not figured out why they don't make it a crime to have fake phone numbers show up on in-coming calls. I would think that there is a way to prevent that. I have actually received a call where it showed my own number calling. Like most, I don't answer unless I know the number.

I put a free call blocker on my cell phone and it works great.
Now I just have to figure out how to kill the mike that lets them listen in on the house. Believe it or not My Son and Wife were talking about a certain item and five minutes later he gets a email about the exact item being on sale at the store.

got one the other day about health care, I asked the woman to please put me on their "do not call" list and she said I had to answer her questions first before she would do it..I hung up..
