Hi there all, a few weeks ago I was lurking around a LGS peering hither and yon for any nice used S&W revolvers. In the used handgun case sitting all by their lonesome selves was a Safariland holster and a box of .44 Special ammo, calling the friendly counter man John over I asked about the holster and ammo. He then pulled them up from the shelf for my viewing pleasure and I found a nice Safariland elk suede lined holster for a large 7 1/2" SA and a box of factory PMC 240gr JHP .44 Special ammo missing five rounds. When asked if I was interested in them I said why yes, yes I was. Seemed they were with a used .44 Magnum SA revolver and the gent who bought it said he did not want the holster or ammo. Well it was time for the immortal question that we all must ask, how much? Well the counter man said, seeing as we are in em for free how about fifteen dollars for both. Taken aback for a few seconds I stammered hey John you know they are worth more than that! He told me that was for the holster and since the ammo was technically "used" he couldn't resell it and he knew I had a few hungry .44 Specials laying about my abode! Well the deal was done and I gave John a big thank you! I also owed thanks my Mom who taught me to never be afraid to ask, all they can say is no. Anyhoo, after getting home and rooting out my 7 1/2" Colt SAA .45 Colt and slipping it into its new home I thought cool! Thanks for looking folks and have a nice weekend!

Since you were honest, and let the LGS guy know that he had the items low-balled I think you can say your good fortune is a result of your good Karma.

original safariland leather holsters were some of the best around in those days.
