I am a newbie to firearms in general, but just purchased my M&P 15-22 MOE! Can't wait until the 8th to pick her up after the background check. I've ordered a soft case and a Vortex StrikeFire red dot sight already, so the disease has begun. I love the look of the painted letters and am planning to do the same.

It only took me 6 months of playing with my 15-22 before I went out and got the M&P Sport. I love them both!

The Vortex Optics VMX3 would be an awesome additional to the strikefire. Works great on my AR15.

Finally took delivery this past Saturday. Took her home for cleaning and lubrication. I am new to firearms so this is very exciting for me. Took the family (wife, son and daughter) to the range on Sunday and went through 400 rounds. Only a couple of FTE, but they might be attributed to loading in the magazine, since my son and I became more diligent about checking the alternating alignment in the mags after the first 200 or so rounds.

Gotta say, love shooting this rifle. I need to dial in the Magpul sights and align with the red dot. Hope to do this later this week.
