That's nice!
I have a Blackhawk in .30 Carbine, Old Model Single Six Convertible, 32 H&R Single Six adj. sight and an Old Model Single Six .22lr that hasn't been converted to the transfer bar safety.
I find myself shooting this one more than almost any of my handguns. It's a Ruger MkII with a Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite upper. It features an aluminum receiver and barrel (one piece), with a steel barrel liner. The muzzle is threaded to take a compensator (illustrated), a sound suppressor, or even an M16 flash suppressor. A threaded muzzle cap is provided with the unit to give the appearance of an unthreaded barrel if so desired. Very light weight, very accurate. Economical to shoot, and it gets oohs and ahs every time I bring it to the firing line. Only downside is that it is a serial numbered part, and has to be bought as a firearm, with all necessary federal paperwork.
Had so many Rugers in my lifetime, I can't remember them all. Multiple Mini 14's, 10/22's, Redhawk, Single six's, Single actions, Dbl. actions and so on,
Currently down to three. A 1959 Blackhawk .44mag, a single six convertible and a 10/22 TD.
I have owned several over the years and currently have a New Model Super Blackhawk (.44 mag), 10-22, a Special Edition Vaquero with 32 H&R mag cylinder and a 32-20 cylinder, and a 77/22 LR with AAC suppressor, Mk II also threaded for the suppressor.
So funny! A 2009 thread - but I'll post to it, just as others continue to do:
Early Bearcat
Early Single Six .22
Later Single Six .22 WMR
Service Six .357 Magnum, 4" barrel
Security Six .357 Magnum, 2.5" barrel
two Vaqueros, .45 Colt
Had a stainless GP .357 Magnum. Nice gun, but I hit the wall financially and sold it to a co-worker. I wish I still had it and the battered old Security Six that got away, but I can no longer shoot Magnum stuff anyway due to bad hands.
It's hard to follow a post like Wheely's, but I'll try. The 6" below (got a very good deal on GB) was bought to replace the first handgun I ever bought. I couldn't come to terms with the owner of that revolver so I bought this new one instead for less than it would cost me to get it back.
I hate Ruger CF semi-autos and all DA revolvers. Way too ugly.
The M77 is OK. Really love the #1. Have an older 10/22 and like the Mannlicher style model. Have a Standard Model 22 made the year I was born and a Mk I made the year my wife was born.
I've been shooting Rugers my entire life, and owned many before buying my first S&W. The trend in my collection shifted after that. I still like them, however.
I currently own two: A Mk.II Target, and a custom snub SRH in .44 Mag. The SRH has become one of my favorites, and it's in my top 3 most carried handguns. I work out in the woods one day a week, and it always goes with me.
Yep, I own a few as well. I have a MKII stainless slabside with a 6 7/8 barrel, 3 ruger American rifles in two different calibers, an SR9 and a 10/22 T with a laminated stock. I consider myself an equal opportunity gun owner. I am not in the closet about anything either.
Blackhawk .357/.38/9mm convertible I've had for many years. Only the third handgun I ever bought. The first two are long gone.
SP101 .357/.38 my wife bought me for a birthday present in 1996
LCP (wife's)
LC9
SR22 (wife's)
SR1911
American Rimfire .22LR
(2) 10-22
Mini-14 (Ranch Rifle)
Yeah, I'll admit it. Used to own a first year GP100 and a nice blued Single-Six. Still own a SBH with 10.5" bull barrel, .357 SP101 and a stainless 22/45. Got my eye on a 4 5/8" Blackhawk in 45Colt/45ACP in either blue or stainless but haven't pull the trigger on that purchase yet.
