Spare Mags -Impossible to Find?

I have order twice from Tactical Vantage

1st order was for 2 32 round mags; had them in a week, they were in bags.

2nd order was for 10 10 round mags had them in a week also, these were in the normal clam shell packages.

Split both orders with a buddy. Neither of us have had any issues with the mags functioning in our 15-22's.

These mags are so hard, what kind of protection do you think you need?

I sold 18 10rd longs on auction sites last week. Shipped every single one bare in a plain 8x11 brown envelope. Every single one arrived safely, including to Alaska and Hawaii.

What's with the desire to kill our environment by having to wrap additional plastic around plastic?

Really? I've got factory Glock 21 mags for sale for normal prices, can't move them.
 
Well they arrived all scuffed up, and I've already had to send one original mag back because the back was splitting open.

I was more concerned about them being OEM mags than counterfeit mags though, not so much about the protection aspect.

Getting in contact with botachtactical is a lot harder than I thought. If you're on hold too long they send you to voicemail. I'm waiting for live chat but so far "all operators are currently assisting others" is the only message I keep getting for the last 20 minutes.

EDIT : After a couple calls I finally got through and cancelled my order. Was not too difficult.

All of the four "supposedly new" mags I have actually received in the mail/ups have been out of the wrappers. I was suspicious at first but see this is the norm for some mfgs now...ship out of wrappers.

I heard they add to delays in shipping, dont offer any measure of protection, and sure there is some cost advantage too. (mfg)

I have on order or email alert different mags from SIG (1911-22) handgun, GSG (MP5 rifle) 22, S&W 15-22, Ruger 10-22 and three other handgun models..

I have received NOTHING..no mags ...no emails...nothing.

I finally "won" three S&W 15-22 off GB and paid the price, but now have three new 15-22 mags...and we shoot alot so this helps regardless of $

The only mags I have been able to buy I needed were Browning Buckmark 22 mags....found those local not through email alert or backorder.

A local store I frequent has Plinker mags (wrappers) for 15-22 in stock...been a week and still there...35 round iirc...couple in Desert Tan.

Box full of new PMags for AKs out of wrappers....all at "normal" prices...one of a few local stores who havent gone wild with prices...they are planning on staying in business.

TO OP: I received my 15-22 mags from smith on 4/09/2013, they were ordered 12/26/2012, but good news is they are shipping. And for those that are interested they were sent in box upright and the last 3 were on top covered by brown paper- perfect condition.

I'm still amazed by the length of time between ordering and receiving your items. Ridiculous.
 
Things are turning around. I received two 15-22 mags from S&W earlier this week. Today two 15-22 mags arrived from Cabela's. I walked into a LGS today, and they had a rack full of 15-22 mags ($30), and a rack full of 20 and 30 round pmags.
 
They are available if you are willing to search around and watch the different internet sites and forums. I have had no problem finding them at retail prices but I have been patient and not resorted to "i gotta have it now" impulses.
