30 years or so ago me and a friend used to go visit an older friend on Thursday nights and watch boxing on USA Network. Larry merchant a Sean O’Grady did the broadcast.
Usually it was small venues but occasionally larger.
Light weights, middles, etc.
One match previous to the fight Larry is interviewing one of the participants and the guy is going on about ho the other guy can’t punch, no power, yadda yadda.
The fight started and the “other guy” connected and it was lights out.
After he came to, Larry asked the loser what he thought of “other guy’s” power now?
The guy says something like, “I don’t know, I’ll tell you when it’s over.
Larry said, “It is over, and you lost!”
The guy starts arguing that they haven’t started yet.
Larry kept saying they had, and he’d lost.
It was hilarious.
I’ve looked on YouTube but can’t find it.
Knowing the participants might help.
Does anyone else remember this “fight” or am I mis-remembering?
