I lost the best lab I have ever known to a similar situation. He made it to the vet but not to surgery.
Animals do the oddest things and we cannot anticipate or protect them from everything.

So sorry for your loss. Just had to put our dog down a few days before Christmas and know how you fee.

Sorry to hear that. We lost one earlier this year and miss him a lot. Have four more and am dreading when they go.
Losing a pet is one of life's truly bad experiences. The give us so much in their short lives. You went beyond what many would do.
