I appreciate you posting this information, some of us really do use these strips and find them extremely useful. Not all of us have extra pockets or a wagon available to pull around for all the accessories we might need.
Please don't worry about some of the posters who just "want to be heard", and resorting to bad manners in order to do so.

Hello and thanks. Glad the post was of interest. Some use them; some don't. I have and use both the strips and speedloaders. Like the fellow who likes the speedloaders, I prefer HKS and have had good luck with them over the long-term.

At the same time, I do know of folks who like the speed strips and in certain situations, so do I.

My post here was never to push the use of speed strips over speed loaders. It was just to let folks know that these existed. If they want to try them, fine. If not, fine. That would be their decision.

These two loading devices perform two different functions . . . there is no intent or desire for one to replace either. Can you top off your revolver with a couple of rounds from a speed loader? Sure. Does a strip lay flat in your pocket as opposed to a speed loader? Sure. I use both, and carry both, the speed loader comes into play when I want to change out ammo or reload a completely empty cylinder. The strip is used to top off the cylinder.

I completed a Defensive Revolver class at Gunsite last week. The 38/357 Tuff Strips were much in evidence. They were used by some of the class to augment speed loaders to top off when performing shoot 2 reload 2 drills.
