Speedloader for model 17?

Hi, I wonder what speedloaders you use for your K17's?

I've tried the HKS but I am not fond of the twist-release, especially since the cartridges fit is so tight that they dont drop into the chamers, but must be pushed in by hand.

I still want to use the speedloades for easa of handling in field competitions for example, but I'd love to find a "push"-release type instead.

Suggestions, opinions, advice?

I regularly shoot speed steel matches at a couple clubs near my home. I have a 617 10 shot that I use and DS-10 speed loaders. The problem with the .22 LR revolver is that the ammo is dirty and frequently reloads are a problem because of that.
So here is a suggestion for you:
A friend has the same set up as mine and he uses .22 LR cartridges for the first load and reloads with .22 Short cartridges. The 22 Shorts, being so much shorter than the .22 LRs, slip into the chambers more easily. I have started using this routine and it works pretty well. He and I also carry 22 caliber bore brushes and brush out the chambers in between strings.
It also helps to use high velocity cartridges with copper plated bullets. These cause significantly less fouling than cartridges with unplated lead bullets. Also, the high velocity .22 Shorts are louder than standard velocity cartridges and so the reports are picked up by the timer better.
Give it a try, it might work for you.

Until some maker decides there is enough interest to produce a loader that releases under considerable spring pressure, the Mod 17 loaders will only be "assisters". It will take a spring at least as powerful as the Jet-type loader to overcome the gunk that builds in a .22 cylinder. While the high velocity plated bullets help a lot to keep the cylinder clean, they are not a total panacea.

David Skrzela the person who makes the 10 shot 617 speedloaders also makes units for the 6 shot k-frame 22's. If you google DR10spedd you should find his contact information. I use both his 10 shot and 6 shot k-frame 22 speedloaders.
