Spell Check

I never knew there was an icon for spell check. It always popped in automatically when I misspelled a word.
AND I AM A LOUSY SPELLER!!

I still have a Webster's Encyclopedic dictionary on my desk, though I haven't opened it in years. The "squiggle" clues me to spell check, and usually it's the ones I've never done well - i before e, etc. Now, otherwise, my phone substitutes words for what I type in texts, and I have to go back and fix it. I hate AI.

Their wuz a sellchecker? :)

I believe it is still here........... jagged red line under the misspelled words.........but not under properly spelled words incorrectly used!
Which is why I will never fully trust Spell Check. I am the Secretary for a town commission, and responsible for creating and submitting minutes for each meeting I attend. I end up with at least three drafts for any meeting minutes I create. I will put each draft through a spell check, but then I will go really Luddite old school by doing a line by line review with a straightedge. And between Spell Check and review with a straightedge it takes a minimum of three drafts to catch all the typos, wrong words, bad syntax and non-sensical phrases. With the format I use the minutes come out to 4-7 pages and can easily take 4 hours to create.
