I've decided to sell my 3" S&W 65-3. Please read the full description below.
About the gun...
Serial number ACNXXXX, manufactured in 1983. I bought it used in 2006 and have put 521 rounds through it. It's had an action job (w/factory springs) with a bobbed hammer converted to DAO and a radiused and polished trigger. It has some minor surface scratches. I had to replace a broken hammer nose last year. It has a good, solid lock-up with good timing. It currently has a set of tung oil-finished cocobolo Ahrends smooth boot grips (no finger grooves) installed on it. Other than the broken hammer nose there have been no reliability or functional issues with the gun. The custom and repair work were done by Rocky McWilliams at Franklin Gun Shop, Franklin, TN.
The gun rug is included. I am including the following accessories:
A set of smooth PCS Hideout grips.
3 HKS 10A speedloaders.
TERMS:
This sale is FTF in the Middle TN area (Davidson and surrounding counties). Will consider shipping to the lower 48 states if your FFL will accept receipt of gun from a private seller.
Prices:
FTF-$475 for all items. Buyer can inspect items at time of purchase.
Shipped to your FFL-$500 for all items. There will be a 3-day inspection period from the time the gun is delivered. No disassembly or firing during the inspection period. Any return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
Buyer must have and present a valid TN Handgun Carry Permit (applies to FTF transactions only).
The gun will go to the first person to post "I'll take it" with a follow-up PM to confirm.
