Hi

Please excuse the newbie question. This is my first gun and pretty excited about it. I'm waiting for my standard 15-22 to be shipped and was looking at some accessories to get.

I was wondering if anyone can explain how the Car-1 fake can from Spike's is installed on the 15-22.

When I contacted Spike's, they said I needed a threaded barrel to install the Car-1.

But I saw this picture and was hoping I could do the same setup with the Car-1, but my understanding is that my rifle does not have a threaded barrel..

Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!

The muzzle end of the barrel needs to be threaded to accept a suppressor--either fake or real--that will screw onto it. If your barrel is not threaded, you cannot attach your fake can. Save your money and buy ammo. No experienced shooter is gonna be impressed by a fake can, and a another newbie might not even know what it's SUPPOSED to be. BTW, welcome to the Forum.........

Tacticool22 offers an alternative to threading the barrel also--check out his website

Belt_fed makes some wiiiicked stuff as well...either way ya go you are in good hands
