Sport II uniform receiver finish POLL

I had read that some of the M&P 15 Sport II models did not have a uniform finish between the upper and lower receivers.

Mine is S/N TK474xx and the receivers match perfectly. Actually all parts match like the buffer tube, except the barrel has a more reflective grey finish, but still the same color. I purchased it from Grabagun 2 months ago so it may be a 2019 model.

If your upper and lowers don't match, please give an approximate year of production if you know it.

For giggles I installed a carry handle from a 2012 Colt LE6920 this evening.

It matches the receiver finish of the 2019 Sport II perfectly.
