I have a question that I know you guys will help me with. I have a new Sport that is less than 2 weeks old. In the stock configuration it is fine but I threw a new PSA upper(16 inch carbine) on that I had laying around and today, I put a BCM A2 stock kit on it(rifle spring and buffer) and took her to the range. With the first few rounds of older PPU ammo through it the cases ejected about a foot away from me at 2 0'clock, the rest were ejected at a normal distance at 3 0'clock. I also tried some old Federal ammo and a few rounds also ejected about a foot away. I'am not sure how old the PPU and Federal ammo is. Could it be the ammo?

When I brought the rifle home after the purchase and took it apart to clean it I found a twisted gas ring on the bolt, I removed it and straightened it out but didn't put a new one on, could this be a problem?

Thanks all.

Well it's definitely the upper. I ran it on a lower with a carbine receiver extension and it was in fact worse. I know the carbine buffer is lighter than a rifle buffer but the carbine spring is heavier than the carbine length spring and I also replaced the gas rings. The receiver is on the way back to PSA.
