Stainless model 60 clean up

I am picking up a 60 .38 special no dash soon but it has a little wear from a holster on the side plate.

How would restore the finish on the stainless 60?

Could I just scuff it up with a scotch bright pad or maybe some polish and a fiber cloth?

You got that's all you need .Try to keep it a brushed finish and avoid polishing it if you want it to look like it is suppose to
