Was out early this morning watering Mrs. Faulkner's flowers that I planted for her back in late winter/early spring. We try to plant colorful plants that will aide in attracting hummingbirds to her feeders and it seems to work as we have about a dozen hummingbirds hanging around at this point.

Since many of them are in bloom I snapped a few iPhone pictures this morning while Daisy and I were making the rounds.

Enough of the flowers , how about some pictures of Daisy The Wonder dog ?

Ha, that's funny. Here are a couple of recent pictures of Daisy checking out some unwanted night time visitors to our front porch. The racoons have not only been robbing the bird feeders, but also destroying Mrs. Faulkner's hummingbird feeders as well. I set out the live traps to catch and thin out the local 'coon population and relocate them to a more remote area.

I think Daisy just wants to play, but I keep telling her those raccoons will tear her head off if she gets a hold of one.

Yeah, like most mammals, they're cute when they're young. Unfortunately, I've been coon hunting enough to see what a full grown one can do to a hound that's two or three times the size of a border collie. When a raccoon gets cornered they can be downright mean.
