I very much agree, it would seem that all would have been asked. 23 is really not such a great score. Where for example is New Mexico's AG, we know about California. I will thank McCollum, I hope others will rebuke their AG if he/she did not sign on.
I find this encouraging myself. To often you don't hear anything out of public officials when this subject comes up. I wonder if the same type of opposition came up in 1994 from state attorney generals? It would be interesting to not the similarities or differences to show whether there is greater activism on the states parts this time.

That our AG from North Dakota signed the letter is not a surprise. Our state legislature has passed a bill which our governor has signed into law that permits ccw in state parks. I wrote an email to my state senator (a democrat) thanking him for keeping me up to date on legislative measures. His reply was short "I'm also licensed to carry"
Another law was passed creating a duel ccw system with more stringent requirements for those permit holders that want reciprocity with states that don't currently recognize our ccw permit .
Sorry for the thread hijack, just wanted to put it out there that some of our public servants actually do serve us.

I'm surprised that Vermont and Alaska aren't among the respondents, not so surprised that Maine isn't.

No new laws are needed to stop the alleged arms from being sent to Mexico. SEAL THE BORDER!! That will prevent anything from going either way between the USA and Mexico. It's really that simple, really...

One of these Attorneys General came up with the idea, or at least proposed it to the others, after someone in their circle thought it up. I wonder which one.

I am glad that California Attorney General Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown did not sign it. If he had, I probably would have had a heart attack. I'm not a young kid anymore. My heart can't take too many shocks.

The "Honorable" Jim Hood is a very vocal Democrat in a Republican-majority administration. A former Democratic governor, and the state campaign manager for Obama, was just confirmed as Secretary of the Navy. I'm sure AG Hood is trying to minimize any perceived criticism of the direction of the Obama administration or Democrat-majority Congress in case he wants to move to the federal system; perhaps appointment as a judge.
