My wife got a call from a cousin of hers that was in a minor fender bender yesterday. Seems this lady decided to make a right hand turn out of the far left hand lane on a six lane street, running into my wife's cousin and running several other cars off the road. When the officer arrived he asked her why in the world she would do such a thing? She said, with a straight face, " My GPS told me to"!! It said I had passed my turn and to turn around immediately!! His reply was " Are you kidding me!" She said she wasn't.

Watched two here today. At a signaled intersection. Left run arrow on, cars going both directons made turns, left arrow went off, light turned green for me to go....BOTH cars in middle lane approaching me turned left right in front of me and the other traffic.

Oh, for the grenade laucher.

Had that happen when I visited my mother in Dallas. A young woman came across two lanes of traffic to enter a left turn lane. I nearly T-boned her. When I honked, she gave me the "hand gesture". No offence to our forum members from Dallas but the city has some of the rudest drivers I've ever encountered.

Recently, my wife and I left our house, on the far side of nowhere in the Virginia mountains, for a short trip. My wife commented after a mile and meeting three cars, that the traffic was pretty heavy that day. Soon, I need to go to downtown Washington. Do you think it might get worse?

I also often ride on two wheels and am hyper-aware of idiots around me when on the road. If I could legally jam cell phone signals, I would do it.

Remember, 50% of the drivers out there are below average... The other 50% think they drive well enough to talk, text or otherwise not pay attention to job #1.

Had two women do that in front of a tow truck of my dads one month apart to the day. We ended up fighting the insurance companies in court for a year and one still has not payed up after two years. I think they should ban stupid people from having GPS in their vehicles, those hurt more people than guns!
