Frankly, as one of the gun owners helping pull the wagon, I'm sick of the whining of those who ride the wagon for free and complain about the bumpy ride.
Most, like the OP on this thread, have their nose out of joint on a subject they didn't really understand (ANY rifle bullet would have met the criteria under the proposed law) or they compain bitterly about trivia like "too many mail solicitations." (which can be stopped with a phone call), or that the NRA isn't "perfect."
Well, Boo Hoo. If you want to argue NRA policy, pony up the cost of admission, vote for the board, and join the fray. You might be surprised to find the "imperfect NRA" is just your neighbors and fellow shooters struggling to protect YOUR gun rights, and the track record over the last 100 years with protecting those rights is nothing short of stunning, given the concerted efforts to eliminate them. Look at the UK, Canada, and Australia.
The NRA has been rated the most effective lobby with the US Congress on any subject.
