Like John, my wife and I received our stimulus paper check by mail ($2400) on May 6, 2020. I have always done our taxes by hand on paper and early this year I was running late because of being out of town and not getting our taxes done as usual. Luckily the IRS extended the filing deadline until July 15 of this year. I electronically filed our 2019 income tax about 2 weeks ago. My wife and I both draw Social Security and its electronically deposited into our bank accounts, so why we received a paper check in the mail is a puzzle to me. I guess its because I never filed electronically before or had them send the refund electronically also. Funny how we get set in our ways of doing things. I deposited the stimulus check and as soon as things get on an even keel again I'll get the wife the new refrigerator she has been wanting. I've already spent my part. Amazing after being married to the same woman for close to 59 years now that during all those years I have filed income tax with her name correct at all times and the United States Treasury sends a stimulus check with her name spelled wrong. Figure that one out.
I am really not complaining, just glad to have gotten the check.
(P.S.) I didn't get to buy a new gun with my money as it is going to pay the Dentist with considerable more money added.
