One word can describe that thieving poseur (self edited already no fiter needed) @!#*$^@&#((

My above post is of course meant in jest. People who must play that they were in the military should be made to serve. Then they would deserve the accolades. Myself I don't ask about a veteran discount. I wasn't in combat or even in a combat zone. I just repaired teletype machines on an air base. No big deal.

Realized that so it got a like. ;-))Two if it were possible? I had a neighbor who triedd one similar--just more modern.

Reminds me of this: "Im not a Cowboy, just wearin the hat."

I get a kick out of watching the fake layout of the ribbon boards on the high fluting brass etc on movies. If the National Defense ribbon is #1 or 2 out of a chest full I do believe it to be fake!!!
At least the number of self-professed snipers and seal team members going to the gun shows has dropped. Haven't heard that spew in a couple of years. Course in a couple of weeks, I will have to put up with my BIL that had his sniper rifle setup to be dead on at 500 and 1000 yds without doping the scope. Glad he lives 3 states away and I only have to see him once a year or so.
I use my old geezer discounts quite frequently but never ask for any military or vet discounts. IIRC the only military discounts I have ever got were the Military reserved airline tickets where we had to be in full dress uniform and BK gives me a free cup of coffee if I go in around veteran's Day.
As for the posers, there are many in the great beyond to take care of their lies.

I hate the phrase "going viral", but there's a nice justice in knowing that this sack of fertilizer won't be able to go anywhere unrecognized for a long time.

I like the idea of making him go through basic and then giving him a dishonorable discharge, but prison time would be better.

Maybe prison after completing basic training. :)

I read several articles on this guy and was surprised these pretend soldiers aren't that rare.

I thought the internet provided a make-believe playground for most of these folks but I guess not.

I wonder if getting booty counts as a "tangible benefit". Went to a fight call at a bar a few weeks back. Dude 1 was being called out by dude 2 as a poser because he was going on about being a soldier to chase tail. Dude 2 got the **** beaten out of him by dude 1 and friends, but since dude 2 (the actual former soldier) started the swinging, couldn't arrest dude 1.

Both drunk as all get out.
