Last several days stormy weather across the south..
Last week took out a 16 " thick backyard pine
tree..missed the house thankfully..got 6 ft tall wood fence panel section..
Tonight another pine tree 10 pm fell across back chain link fence ..took out 3 5 ft tall 8 foot long sections..crashing noise like big boom when the tree fell🙄Pics show rear big pine that fell and wood fence limb busted down on it and rear black chain link fence smashed by tree that fell on it . Silver dog pen panel laid in front of it to keep our big dogs from getting out
thru downed fence..
I consider us lucky hasnt hit the house.
I bought land with lotta pines in back lot area. .
now trees taller and get hit with wind damage..
Always something going on..
But lotta folks getting hit bad by spring storms
now for next several months..its tornado season across the south nowadays..
On a side thought..I've read..online ..if one of my pine trees falls in a neighbors yard..I'm not liable for storm tree damage from a tree that fell from my property. According to my reading
the propertys homeowner insurance is responsible to cover that sort of damage.. I thought I prob was responsible in some way..but not according to what Ive read..
Any info the members can share is much appreciated..

...and this is why insurance agents sniff in a disapproving manner if they can see a tree from your property.

In 1974 we had 2 apartment complexes under construction. one half of a 16 unit building burnt to the ground, probably from plumbers torch or carpenters cigarette butt! A unrelated building across the street had scorched panels, roof shingles and window glass. Their insurance company, the plumbers insurance company and our insurance company were all divisions of State Farm, the Investigation stopped as soon as arson was ruled out.

Dead standing trees are the responsibility of the land owner. If you have a dead tree, have it cut down, if it falls on neighbors property and any damage its your problem. It's a "notice" issue.

Greyman...
Thats what we've been doing..Cutting down
dead trees we notice as we can afford to..
Thanks Randy..
