I was reading my likes and one went back to where I was very young, which got me thinking of all the "Stuff" we kids did.

Out of the blue a picture of the past buzzed through my head and out my ear. :D

Did any of you carefully remove the cork from inside a soda pop bottle and then

attach the bottle cap to your shirt with the cork, for a "Badge" ?

Oh the fun we had, back then.

Never was allowed to keep the bottle caps My Mother saved them and crotched around them then sewed them together to make "Hot Pads" for the table for hot pots and dishes. These protected the finish on the table. Made them for family and friends. Used about two six packs worth for each hot pad.

Yep, we did that also. My mom got upset because the bottom cap would make little holes in the t-shirts.

My Grandfather used to have beer and soda delivered to their house and the delivery man always had his shirt covered with caps.
We kids thought that was the coolest!

When I was in the 4th grade I took my dad's old 45-70 to school for show and tell. It looked similar to this one.

Also carried a pocket knife from around the 4th grade till graduation. Carried a switchblade from around 6th grade on. Once in 9th grade science class I went to the bathroom for a smoke, when I got back my teacher handed me my knife. All he said was this must have fell out of your pocket. Most of my teachers made me sit in the front row for some reason.
