Serial number on barrel matches the receiver number.

No visible wear anywhere.

Now for the rest of the story:
It has a Poly Choke installed.
The Poly Choke has a white bead installed.

I would have said about $1000, before I saw the Poly Choke.

For me, on what sounds like a very nice older 870,
the Poly is a deal killer at any price.

Cut off the Poly and you have a 24 or 23" Cylinder Bore.

I'd leave the poly, and offer about $400.

I have a like new 1954 Winchester 97 with a factory poly. These guns are so ugly, nobody took them in the field!

Do you have pictures? I like 870s but not at today’s prices. The poly choke and cutts guns are loads of fun on the skeet field. This gets lots of comments. [emoji16]

A 20 gauge 870 has a value of about $300 in my area. Replace the barrel and put the barrel with the poly on an auction. Start auction at $1 and you will get what bidders think it is worth.
