SUPERBOWL PREDICTIONS

The score at the end trumps stats every time. Denver's defense held the top scoring team in the league to 7 points! Enough said!!

Cam love?

Sometime the old dog needs to stay on the porch and let the new dog that has learned how to tear all the other dogs apart just do his job. Ha Ha.

Cam brought a pride of fans and love of the game to Jordan Hare in 2010 that I had never saw in attending games there for 42 years of my life. He brings the same pride and love of the game to the NFL and sparkle in those small children's eyes when he gives them a touchdown ball is beyond words or money. Never watched pro ball in the past 42 years, just stayed with the college stuff, until this year. Love watching Cam and gang bring the love of football to the places he plays. They have the best team I have every watched. he is the second best playing to have every played the sport ( The best is Bo Jackson). Looks like we will see in a few days.

WAR EAGLE ( at least it is a struggle with two SEC dogs), sorry Georgia fans.

If the Panthers QB is going to be the new face of the NFL then I'm done watching. Enjoyed watching him falling from his pedestal almost as much as I enjoyed the underdogs win the game.

Sir,

We're all aware that the score determines the outcome; but some of us are interested in, and enjoying discussing, all aspects of the game regardless of their effect or lack thereof on the outcome. An example would be what you pointed out in your 2nd sentence above, which would have been an accomplishment worthy of mentioning even if Carolina would have won 7-0 or 7-6, etc. Would you agree?

Regards,
Andy

My point being if a team runs up 400 yds in offense but turns the ball over every time it gets on the other side of the field is no better than the team who has 200 yds of offense but never turns the ball over and scores.
I don't mean to offend anyone or run down any team.

Tom Landry used to say something like "the offense brings people to the games, but the defense wins championships". I was happy for defensive coach Wade Phillips.....he's had a rocky ride to the pinnacle. well done Broncos.

Glad the Broncos won as i predicted. I did'nt hit the score
but the better team won.

Cam proved he has a strong arm. So does Michael Vick......

A lot of "learning" still needs to be done by the Carolina QB.
Really showed his lack of class post game. Acted like a punk.

Manning hasn't officially called it quits yet, but he should.

Good outcome but terrible game unless you liked to see
the punters in action.

Denver's "D" was the real deal.

Chuck

That was a real satisfying result.:D

High point of the game for me was Cam Newton backing away from his own fumble. He was truly whipped. John Madden would never have given him any kind of award after that. Gold shoes!!

Agreed, Seeing Superman stand there and not wanting to get that fumble told me it was over at that point.
He didn't want it bad enough. Denver did !!! Game over !!

Agreed - but I think Manning calling it quits too soon after the game would've detracted from the attention the whole franchise deserves for winning. Before he ends his career (and I think he should), he needs to put the HGH controversy behind him. If the NFL does it right, they will conduct s thorough investigation in an expeditious manner and release their findings. They owe that to the fans.

Excuse me if i am wrong but hasn't this nonsense already
been disproved? I thought the accuser himself has recanted
and this was proven bogus. I think the Manning family and
Peyton deserve better.

The original accusation was recanted but no investigation was conducted. Under its own rules, the NFL is obliged to conduct an investigation and both Peyton Manning and his attorneys have said they look forward to it. I hope that investigation exonerates Manning and opens up new opportunities for him in the sport to which he has contributed so much.
