I just saw the posts about the new Ruger with the adjustable gas control - a semi-auto that you can adjust for widely different cartridge energy levels.
Keltec's got their folding AR not-a-likes and that bullpup. And their teeny pistols.
Do something new and clever Smith and Wesson. Take a chance or two.
The I-bolt is well engineered, but, like they said when I called one of my local gun stores, it's nothing to talk about. It's a good combination of good stuff, but what's new? It's got the Smith and Wesson name on it, and they have a clever way to remove the bolt for cleaning.
And they've got a truss pattern in the forend. Now that's a big whup. And they already put in the hole for the recoil reducer. Whup, whup.
I like attention to detail as much as the next guy, but it won't get you into a new market, or reignite an old one.
Surprise me.
